Who has it better, the children of the workforce (daycare kids), or endangered species such as the orangutan or giant panda? The endangered species wins for me! They are cared for by 3 or more adults to 1 animal, are fed a specilized diet for optimal growth, given the perfect environment filled with all the space and toys to gain strength and growth, and are systematically taught all the skills they need to be released and succeed as an adult. Not to mention the medical care they recieve. In a typical program Daycare children 1 adult to every 7-15 children, served a USDA diet that meets the minimum nutritional requirements, 14-30 kids packed in as many as the square footage will allow, toys and educational activties and supplies provided as the budget will allow. How many socially and emotionally dysfunctional teens and adults do you know?
