Wtf is my hamster doing?

all ''she'' does is go in her little igloo and like when i see what shes doing she dug a bit of a little curvey thing and she eats she isnt drinking much since shes not excersing %26gt;.%26gt;. it doesnt look like shes sleeping cause shes moving alot and stuff as in not sleeping :o! i got her december 1st with her sister. since there both panda bear hamsters i put them in seperate cages well mines is in a 10 gallon tank with a top thing and her sisters is in a cage. oh yea about the igloo thingy(she sleeps in). theres like a line of shreded toilet paper around it.

im not realy worried but im just wondering wdf is she doing in there for like half the day

Hamsters are nocturnal

so most likely, she seems to sleep all day when you are awake,

but when you go to bed at night she gets up and starts running around.

OK first check the watter bottle thin look if her bally is bigger thin normal if it is she is pregnant win i had a pandda bare hamster it did the same day it sleep in the day and was up at night try to stay up at night and she what she dose
Hamsters are nocturnal desert creatures. They originated in the desert so they don't drink that much water. That is why the get wet tail if you give them too much lettuce. They don't move much during the day except to snack or drink on somthing. They do alot of moving at night cause they are night creatures in there natural habitat the desert. It is cooler at night there so that is why they are out at night. you can change the cicadian cyle though but doing so has been know to shorten the lifespan of a hamster so it is best not to do this. They are nesting creatures just becasue there is a nest doesn't nessecarly mean it is pregnant.
She could be nesting... maybe she is prego
Ok,yes hamsters are nocturnal, you almost never see them during the day,try waking up at 2am and chances are you will see her up and about.Hamsters are small animals and they dont drink much at all,or eat alot.

Remove the toilet paper,now if she eats it she is going to become very sick,she may get wet tail,which is an infection in the tummy,it caused by the hamster eating things its not supposed to eat.Wet tail is mostly fatal.Ive had a hand full of hamsters die from it even when i gave it meds.
