One of my tanks is a ten gallon tank. I have three panda corydoras and 4 guppies in the tank (1 male, three females). Also four water plants that are growing and doing fine. There has been no changes to the tank for the last 2 months, except last night I notice there were only 2 female guppies (the male is still there). I searched all over and could not find the third female. I searched in the plants, gravel, filter... etc and around the aquarium in case it somehow jumped out (the tank is closed, but just in case it had jumped while feeding them) and came up empty. My wife and kids all denied being responsible (I told them there was no consequence, I just wanted to know). My question.. Where did the 3rd female guppy go??

Unless you believe your family, I know of only one other consequence. If any fish are underfed, I find that they will attack and devour any dead fish in the tank, and it could be as quick as overnight, and you will not see any signs of the fish. Unless you watch your fish tank religiously, lots will happen without your knowledge. I have more than one tank in my house and I just noticed that one of my fish had a litter of about 40 fry, but they were so well hidden, I didn't see them until I fed them, my wife didn't see them the night before, and we have no idea what day they were released.
